Canadian Network for Statistical Training in Trials Learn more

The Canadian Network for Statistical Training in Trials (CANSTAT) is a Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) funded pan-Canadian, multi-institutional platform with the objective of training and mentoring biostatisticians in clinical trials.

The program aims to equip trainees with:

  1. Clinical trial knowledge
  2. Technical and interpersonal skills
  3. Experiential learning in clinical trials

The program is designed as a one-year fellowship comprised of three components:

  1. A one-year experiential learning placement with mentorship from biostatisticians and clinical investigators actively involved in clinical trials
  2. Online workshops covering a diverse range of topics delivered by international experts
  3. Capacity building meetings.

Graduates will be biostatisticians who are effective collaborators, communicators, scholars and leaders contributing to academic and industry clinical trials in Canada.

Collaborative Unit for Biostatistics and Evidence (CUBE) provides mentorship and experiential learning opportunities for CANSTAT scholars.
